John photographed Chris last week at Atlantic Beach. They had planned to photograph in downtown New Bern until John found out that Chris likes to surf. I love these portraits because Chris (or his parents) didn't try to change who is he for the photo session! He dressed in his normal clothing and brought along his surfboard... senior parents take note... it's okay to choose one dressy outfit for your child, but please, please, please let them choose the others. After all, don't you want a portrait that captures who your child is right now and reveals the essence of his personality?

Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Ashley and Stephen at Ocracoke, NC. Since Stephen proposed on Ocracoke, we spent the day there for their engagement session and had a blast! Here are a few of our favorites... (we have so many faves, it was extremely hard to narrow down to just these)!
